What was the objective of this shake up?

Well, it was basically to get rid of highly optimized websites and to change the rules for business owners who wanted to manipulate their sites to get top rankings.

Before “Florida” getting high rankings in Google was a complete synch. There was no such thing as “too much optimization”

Nowadays Googles algorithms are very sophisticated so you need to know what to do and stick to the rules!

So, when you are reading through the material in this chapter bare in mind that if you OVER OPTIMIZE your site to get into the top 5 rankings, Google WILL penalize you for this.

I have had some of my sites banned from Google because of it!
