Is there an excessive amount of competition in your niche?

Does it mean that if there are a lot of other coaches and consultants in your niche that you should not bother?

Well, yes and no!

It all depends on how you position yourself.

Let’s look at the positives with a lot of competition.

Well, firstly it must mean that there is a market out there for your services and that the market is willing to pay for these services.

So in theory, if you can work out what works well and how to sell to these people better than your competition you can make a lot of money out of it.

This is exactly what I did with my Management Training Company.

Whilst I was delivering executive coaching in organisations they would often ask me to design and deliver leadership courses as well so it got me thinking as to whether there was a market for this.

After completing some research I found out that there were thousands of management training businesses!

However, just by looking at their websites and their brochures and how they marketed their businesses I knew that if I were to enter this market I could make a killing!
