Introduction
Congratulations!
You have chosen one of the most rewarding career paths imaginable
– that of being a coach.
Being able to help people fulfil their own potential goes far
beyond the immediacy of getting a certain result. I truly believe
that it leaves behind a legacy that you have positively impacted
the world long after we have departed it.
Coaching seems to be one of those careers that you are either
“made for” or you’re not. No amount of training or coaching hours
that you put in will really prepare you for every client and
challenge that they face. You need to have a certain something
within you to start with.
Now don’t ask me what that certain something is! But you know
yourself when you have got it.
Being a coach is just so rewarding because you can work when you
want, with whom you want, how you want and for however much you
want!
You make the rules here and your business will live or die by
them.
I have seen so many coaches literally sit on their backsides
waiting for the phone to ring. These coaches think that because
they know “How to coach” that’s all there is to it. How wrong they
are!
On the flip side to that I have seen coaches market themselves
like crazy only to call me up asking why they are not getting the
clients they want after spending hundreds of their hard earned
start up fund only to see nothing from it as well.
You see, if you are like 95% of the coaches out there you love to
coach and you know that you are very good at it but you do not
have the marketing skills to make your coaching business a
success.
The amount of times that I have heard of some of the very best
coaches around go bust or have had to get another job to make ends
meet is heartbreaking – and we do not want that to happen to you.
