TURNING AGREEMENT INTO ACTION

All actions must be followed up. The credibility of the chairperson is soon eroded if nothing happens as a result of their meetings. Often the chairperson has to chase members to ensure their actions are completed on time and wastes time. Much better is for each attendee to let the chairperson know when their action has been completed or by what date when they are able to complete their agreed actions. The chairperson may then be able to arrange extra help.

Once all actions are completed, attendees rarely need keep their copies of minutes of internal meetings. Instead they can rely on the minutes secretary to file a reference copy.
