HR Review and job evaluation - Northern Stage –
UK
Responsible
for providing job analysis, job descriptions, salary benchmarking,
review of the whole HR department for strategic fit.
This
project involved reviewing all job roles within the organisation
and developing a new grading and salary structure, together with
job descriptions for each job role. All jobs were placed in a
job family, allowing flexibility within individual jobs in the
same family.
Salaries
were benchmarked against similar local, national and international
companies, to ensure parity of pay. In
addition, a performance management system was developed, allowing
individual and group training needs to be identified and individual
performance to be measured and managed.
Performance
management and training needs analysis – SETA
Designed
and implemented a performance management system and conducted
training needs analysis.
Implemented
a reward system to go hand in hand with the performance management
systems – included appraisals, performance reviews etc.
Conducted a TNA throughout the company and produced a global training
plan for every department based upon the training needs analysis.
HR policies and procedures -North East Community Forests
MTD
were responsible for documenting and formalising all of the policies
and procedures within the company so that the HR department could
become self sufficient when she left the project.
This
included recruitment and selection, performance management, reward
strategy and the identification of training needs.
Recruitment and selection - Mental Health Care
As
trained and verified external recruitment and selection assessors,
MTD was given the task of recruiting and selecting the senior
management team of MHC including the Chief Executive and his/her
direct reports.
This
involved scoping the job role for the Director, as this was a
new post. We directed the selection of candidates for interview,
prepared the Board members for the interview and sat on the interview
panel.
We
advised the Board on appropriate questioning strategies and help
the panel make a successful selection decision.
Recruitment and selection training – Home Office
MTD
developed recruitment and selection training to the Home Office.
This
was based upon competency interviewing and behavioural style questioning.
As
well as delivering content, MTD observed participants interviewing
candidates and gave feedback on their style and appropriateness
of questioning.
Setting
up HR function – Red Barn
MTD
set up the HR function for a developing retail provider. We developed
the key HR policies and trained key managers in their HR responsibilities.
The
systems and procedures that MTD put in place were flexible, to
allow the organisation to expand without having to change the
systems that had been put into place.
HR Polices and Procedures – North Lincolnshire Primary
Care Trust
MTD
developed the key HR policies and procedures for a newly formed
heath Trust.
This
involved consulting widely across managers, Directors and trade
unions, to ensure the systems being suggested would be fit for
purpose and would be workable within the culture of their organisation.
